On top of it all, we were given the opportunity to adopt another little boy and join him to our family. With our current financial situation this was no easy prospect. His potential health problems were also daunting. But we felt we needed to adopt him and so we put our trust in the Lord, and by His mercy and grace, and by the assistance of family and friends, he was joined to our family in miraculous ways. His health is good.
That was a season of blessings never to be forgotten. But a new season of blessings followed.
I have been employed for a little more than a month now, and everything is great. I enjoy the work that I do and the people I work with. I am being paid well with great benefits. No sooner than we began receiving benefits that we had to take our youngest son to the Emergency Room, who would eventually spend 5 days in the hospital with Kawasaki's disease. He is fine now, but how "coincidental" it was to have that happen immediately after receiving benefits!?
That happened on the very weekend that Levi was supposed to be joined to us in the Jordan River Temple. My wife's family were all in town for the event, but were unable to enjoy it. However, having them there at this time was a great blessing to my wife and me.
A couple of weeks later (April 28) we finally had Levi sealed to us. It was a beautiful day. Not everyone that wanted to be there could make it, but it was a great day anyway. My mom's uncle was able to perform the ceremony, which was nice.
